Adam Green

Whilst employed as a constable for the West Midlands Police (2002–09) Adam pursued his creative impulse studying Visual Arts (BA Hons) at the University of Central England in Birmingham (graduating in 2009.) His work explored themes of identity, memory and loss and drew upon his experience as a public servant. After leaving the Police Service in 2009 Adam moved to Northern Spain to develop his practice as a painter.

Upon returning to the UK Adam embarked on a career within operations at MAC (formerly Midlands Art Centre) in Birmingham. Working at this pioneering arts complex from 2013 to 2016, Adam’s passion for providing outstanding customer service lent itself perfectly to an organisation which holds engagement of the local community central to its mission statement.

In January 2017 Adam moved to Bristol and joined Spike Island as Operations Manager. At Spike Island, Adam is responsible for the strategic management of the building and user experience.
