Sight is a self-aware and reflective novel about a young woman who loses her mother and struggles with concurrent emotions of desire and fear at the prospect of having her own child.
Jessie Greengrass was born in 1982. She studied philosophy in Cambridge and London, where she now lives with her partner and child. Sight is Jessie’s first novel.
Each month we invite a debut novelist to read from and talk about their work in an informal setting. Prior knowledge of the text is not essential. Topics of discussion include theme, structure, inspiration and the craft of writing. These sessions are a great way to discover new writing talent and great books.
