I am Making Art

Capture the silhouette of any object using the antique photographic technique of Cyanotype (a process traditionally used in creating blueprints) with artist and printmaker Charlotte Biszewski. Bring a significant item from a collection, something which gives you luck, or use whatever you have in your pockets, to create a long collaborative artwork and smaller pictures to take home.

Charlotte Biszewski

Charlotte Biszewski (b. Bristol 1988) works in print, puppetry and sculpture, and creates captivating installations, images and narratives. Working on a variety of projects within community collaborations and in the shelter of her own shed, her practice is rooted in print and illustration, developing books and stories which bring life to the everyday. Working with traditional materials and processes, she explores the possibilities of contemporary technology to create new work from old craft.

She is currently working on a number of community focused projects, such as Bristol Set In Print and A Community Shelter. Recently she has taken residence at Knowle West Media Centre (KWMC) exploring the prospect of citizen-led housing as part of KWMC's We Can Make...Homes project. She loves the spontaneity of participatory projects and the potential of reciprocal skill-sharing.
