Take part in our study: Understanding Audiences for the Contemporary Arts

Do you go to new music concerts, contemporary dance performances, new writing in a theatre, or contemporary art galleries? Whether that's something you do all the time or once in a blue moon, we want to hear from you!

Spike Island is working together with researchers at the University of Sheffield and Newcastle University and arts organisations across the country to better understand audiences for the contemporary arts. The study will lead to the production of a handbook which will be freely shared with arts organisations to help them inspire more people to enjoy different kinds of contemporary arts.

Take Part:

We are looking for individuals to take part in an interview with our researcher, Dr Sarah Price. The interview will last around 45 minutes and Sarah will ask questions such as: what kind of arts events do you go to? How did you become interested in the arts? What do the arts mean to you?

If you are interested in taking part in this study, please complete this online form by Friday 19 January 2018.

Interviews will be held at Spike Island on Friday 26 and Saturday 27 January 2018.

Thank you!
