We’re in the midst of making changes to the Spike Island building to become more sustainable and financially resilient. This includes improving our digital infrastructure, upgrading lighting to an energy efficient LED system, repairing the roof, investing in a much needed new boiler and creating new office space. This work is undetaken thanks to the Arts Council England Capital grant we were awarded for 2016/17.
Spike Island reception and Spike Island Café are open as usual during this work.
In the gallery we are busy preparing our new exhibitions with Hedwig Houben, Roman Štětina and Miroslav Buriánek (opening 1 October 2016.) Join us for the exhibition previews on Friday 30 September, 6–9pm.
