New production with artist Larissa Sansour
Spike Film and Video are excited to be working with artist Larissa Sansour to produce her new film In the Future, They Ate From the Finest Porcelain commissioned by FLAMIN (Film London's Artists' Moving Image Network'). Sansour's project is a sci-fi video essay inspired by the politicised archaeology carried out in present day Israel/Palestine. Combining live action, CGI and archival photographs, the film explores the role of myth and fiction for fact, history and national identity. The project is currently in-production.
In the Future They Ate From the Finest Porcelain is co-commissioned by FLAMIN Productions through Film London Artists’ Moving Image Network with funding from Arts Council England; New Art Exchange, Nottingham; Bluecoat, Liverpool; Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Wolverhampton; and The Mosaic Rooms, A.M.Qattan Foundation, London; with support from Doha Film Institute; The Danish Arts Council, Arts Council England, Iambic Film, Knud Højgaards Fond and Contemporary Art Platform – Kuwait. Produced by Spike Film and Video.
