Spoon Fed Call for Proposals

Bristol-based artist cooperative the Collect are bringing Spoon Fed to Spike Island in December.

Do you have a creative project that you need a small amount of funding for? This simple soup social and arts micro-funding event brings together local artists and audiences to make possible ambitious projects that might not otherwise be realised. Since Spoon Fed started in February, it’s raised over £900 to support five such undertakings, from the purchase of wires for an interactive installation to waterproofing equipment for a filmmaker’s sea voyage.

The Collect are now inviting proposals from artists working in all media to be considered for the prize pot. The deadline is Sunday 9 December at 12pm and all the information you need is at the Collect’s website.

If you're interested in discussing ideas related to Spoon Fed, the Collect are also hosting December's Extra Curricular reading group which takes Marcel Mauss's The Gift as a starting point to explore gift exchange, reciprocity and alternative economies.
